End Money Bail

California’s money bail system unfairly punishes low-income people, fuels racial disparities in the criminal justice system and fails to keep communities safe.

People who have been arrested, but not convicted, often spend weeks, months or years in jail awaiting their trial simply because they cannot afford to post bail.

A broad coalition of organizations and leaders are working to reform the unjust system in California. Below, please find articles, reports, videos and toolkits on the movement to reform the money bail system, as well as a list of the organizations leading the movement.
