The Rosenberg Foundation Applauds New Initiative by California Attorney General Aimed at Reducing Recidivism

San Francisco (November 20, 2013) — The Rosenberg Foundation today released the following statement from Timothy P. Silard, president of the Foundation, applauding the California Attorney General’s new initiative aimed at curbing recidivism in California.

“We thank California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris for her leadership in advancing innovative and evidence-based approaches to solving California’s crime and corrections problems.

California has one of the highest recidivism rates in the nation, and it’s clear that fundamental changes are sorely needed in our criminal justice system at the state and local levels.

This is exactly the kind of bold thinking that we need to reduce re-offending while improving public safety and saving taxpayer dollars.”
