We stand against state violence and white supremacy, and with everyone fighting for freedom and liberation. Black people have been terrorized at the hands of police for far too long.

We see and feel the enormous rage, fear, pain and trauma that Black people around the country are experiencing. We join them in calling for justice for the police murder of George Floyd and countless others. These are lynchings, period.

We also join them in demanding the complete and utter dismantling of the racist structures and systems that make this injustice possible. We know what to do, and now we need the political will to do them.

It’s time to defund the police, get cops out of schools, and end the tyranny of mass incarceration once and for all. The days of silence, inaction and equivocation are over.
