UCLA School of Law Symposium: Overpoliced and Underprotected: Women, Race, and Criminalization
Lateefah Simon, Director of the California’s Future Initiative at the Rosenberg Foundation, will be one of the speakers at “Overpoliced and Underprotected: Women, Race, and Criminalization” a symposium hosted by the UCLA School of Law, January 27-28, in Los Angeles. Simon will be joining a panel on “Reentry and the Community Impact of Women’s Incarceration,” which will examine how a criminal conviction often excludes formerly incarcerated women from critical educational, job, and housing opportunities.
